Bare Root Plants Available
Compare and save! Although we would love for you to come and
visit us, we offer over 400 varieties of bare
root daylilies and 100 varieties of bare root Hosta via mail order.
The prices for bare root plants are slightly higher than
potted varieties since the plants usually have a bigger root
system, and we incur the expense of digging, tagging,
washing, drying and boxing the bare root plants.
Please order early - many of the varieties are limited
in supply and will sell out early.
Schedule and Availability
Bare root plants are dug normally on Mondays during the
months of April and May in the Spring and September in the Fall. We do not dig in the months of
June, July and August due to heavy garden visitation. It is not feasible to dig individual
orders during a garden visit but almost everything we sell
is available potted at our Pot Sales Area.
Cultural Information
Handling and growing instructions will be enclosed with each order shipped. We
are always glad to share growing information with you. Please ask us to help if
you have questions.
Substitutions
Unless you send a list of possible substitutions, we won’t substitute for
anything on your list if we are out of an item. Refunds are given without a
substitute list. Time limitations keep us from being able
to select substitutes for you.
Ordering Methods
Minimum Order
Our minimum order is $35.00.

Order Now for Fall!
Our spring digging season has ended. We will not be digging mail orders again until the month of September due to heavy visitation at the Gardens during the summer. If you would like to place an order for fall delivery please do so to make sure you are first in line for plant availability. Northern orders will be dug the first part of September and southern orders will be shipped the last of September. If you live anywhere near the Gardens, please come by and check us out. We offer over 1,000 varieties of potted daylilies, Hosta and other perennials in our sales area. This year's inaugural Daylily Clump Sale was a great success, so we have decided to do it again next year. But, if you order daylilies for this fall, you will be pleased to know that we give great plants on our regular sales list (usually three to five fans of most varieties).
