Arrange your beautiful outdoor wedding from April through October.  We can also host your wedding reception under the roof of our new open-air pavilion. Your meal can be personally selected from either our hot buffet or Hors d'oeuvres menus. Your guests can even tour The Gardens for free. Book early to get the best dates.
 

Each year we do a number of craft and Christmas shows to sell and introduce our products to customers around East Tennessee.  We try to let folks see and taste many items such as our Pecan Fruitcake, Woozy Cakes ^TM and Praline Pecans.  Customers can buy our goodies at Special Show Prices without ordering by Mail Order.  We will post our 2007 show schedule on the Bakery's main page this fall.

--The Gardens---
The Gardens of Sunshine Hollow displays 1750 varieties of Daylilies, Dahlias, Roses, Hostas, Cannas, and Irises. Our display gardens encompass 20 acres with 8 miles of trails and 4000 feet of flower beds. Located about halfway between Knoxville and Chattanooga The Gardens of Sunshine Hollow will be open from mid-April through July and again in September and October. See our calendar for days and hours. See the PBS video (described below) for a look at the gardens in peak bloom. 

We serve lunch during the Spring and Summer season to individuals. For groups of ten or more lunch is available by reservation from Spring through Fall. We also offer special group rates and perks (call 1-800-669-2005 to access our web site for groups). Groups may have lunch, tour The Gardens of Sunshine Hollow and take a narrated wagon ride through The Gardens.

For five weekends (Fridays and Saturdays) in June and July we have Daylily Bloom Festivals where visitors receive a free daylily. During the entire season all adult visitors to the Gardens may register for out monthly plant collection drawing. National Geographic's Discover Appalachia Web site features various attractions including The Sunshine Hollow Bakery!  Click on the interactive map link and you will find us near Athens, Tennessee.

Did you see us on TV? Sunshine Hollow fruitcakes were featured on NBC's Today Show in December 2003. Also that December, Live at Five, a production of WBIR (NBC's affiliate in Knoxville, Tennessee), did a segment showing how Sunshine Hollow fruitcakes are baked. This segment was picked up by many other NBC stations across the country. We have been seen in other Live at Five segments cooking other scrumptious treats. 

The Nashville Public Television (WEPT) series Volunteer Gardener visited The Gardens of Sunshine Hollow and did a segment.  Episode 1345 first aired in May 2005.  Worth watching for anyone interested in visiting the Gardens, this 7 minute walk around the Gardens is a great introduction.
